At iPrintfromHome.com, we work with artists and photographers from across the United States and Canada. We're inspired everyday by the images that they send to us and by the stories they share.

In our "What, How & Why" interview series, we take a closer look at some of these fascinating people.

We've asked each participating artist or photographer three simple questions:

1. What do you do?
2. How do you do it?
3. Why do you use iPrintfromHome.com?

Please read on to find out more about Caroline Moore.

What do you do?
I'm a self-taught photographer, designer and illustrator with a B.A. in new media from the University of Maine. I own two part-time etsy businesses, sixhours photography and calobee doodles.

My photographs are conceptual art, and tend to be dark and strange, laden with fairytale-esque themes and imagery.

In contrast, my designs and illustrations are childlike, colorful and friendly. I particularly enjoy creating art for children and designing materials for other small businesses.

The majority of my illustration business is custom design, and I love working with new customers!

How do you do it?
I'm a child of the digital age. Some of my earlier photography is cross-processed slide film, but the majority of my photographs now are digital. I shoot raw and do some post-processing in photoshop. My illustrations are also exclusively digital, and I'm sorry to say I am useless with a pencil. I typically freehand my "doodles" in Illustrator, experimenting with colors and shapes until I get a design just right.

Why do you use iPrintfromHome.com?
iPrintfromHome was originally recommended to me on a community forum when I started selling prints of my photographs. My former printer was a bit slow with deliveries, and I'd had a few too many mixed up orders to feel truly comfortable with them. When I received my first iPrintfromHome order, I was immediately impressed by the turnaround time and the quality. When I had to return my first print due to damage by the shipping service, I discovered just how quick and friendly a return could be--no hassle! I recommend iPrintfromHome to anyone I know who's looking for a printing service.

What do you do?
My full time job is in the outdoor retail industry. I love talking about outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking as much as I love doing them.

My photography started as a result of constantly being in amazing outdoor locations and wanting to share what I was seeing with my friends and family. Now, I sell prints and work freelance, so I hike specifically to get to locations to photograph almost as much as I do for the sheer enjoyment of it. I also use my photography to promote an active and responsible outdoor lifestyle.

How do you do it?
A lot of what I do involves being in the right place at the right time. I guess I could say I've been "lucky" to get some of my shots. But for photos of specific locations, I often have a preconceived idea of how I want the image to look. I pour over maps and use software such as The Photographer's Ephemeris to see precisely when the light I want will fall on the scene. I like to show scale and grandeur by having people in my photos. Usually the model is a friend. At home, I use Aperture for most of my post-processing, and Photomatix for any HDRs that I might shoot.

Why do you use iPrintfromHome.com?
I heard about iPfH through Twitter a little over a year ago. At the time, I was unhappy with the level of customer service I was getting from another print company. I decided to give iPfH a try and was immediately blown away by how quickly I received an email telling me my prints have been shipped. From the get-go, I was impressed with how easy it was to upload my images to iPfH.

The biggest thing for me is the customer service. I prefer to be out shooting, not sitting behind the computer editing. iPfH always lets me know if I made a mistake with size or resolution. The choices of paper and print sizes means that I never have to tell a client or customer that I can't get them what they want. I have been very impressed with the quality of prints that I receive from iPfH.
