VIDEO: Ordering Non-Standard Sized Prints

We often get phone calls from customers who need a custom sized print, either to fit an existing frame or because they want their prints to be the same size as their original artwork. Although we don't explicitly offer custom sized prints, with a little file prep work, you can get any size you need. In this video Sara explains how to prepare a file to order a non-standard sized print.

You can also find file preparation instructions in this article in the section titled "Ordering Non-Standard Sized Prints".

As you know, we take customer feedback very seriously and most of the changes made around here are based on customer requests. If there is a particular size that you find yourself needing, please contact us to let us know. If there is enough interest, we'll add the size to our site.

Thanks,
the iPrintfromHome.com team

2. How do you do it?
3. Why do you use iPrintfromHome.com?

Please read on to find out more about Chris Lazzery.

What do you do?
I'm a hobbyist photographer living outside Boston, Massachusetts. I've only really been interested in photography for a few years now, but it has easily become my favorite pastime. I love to photograph anything and everything, but I think I've found that my favorites are landscapes and cityscapes, especially during sunrise and sunset.

There aren't many weekends when I'm not out and about searching for something to shoot in the area. Or out of the area, for that matter.  I will often times get in my car to explore a lighthouse or waterfall hours away, just to spend some time with camera, relax, and shoot the beauty around me.

How do you do it?
Well, I've been drawing pretty much since I have been alive, and I went to school for graphic design, so I'd like to think I have a good eye for composition. Photography just seemed like another fun creative outlet with which to express myself. I currently shoot with a Canon 5D Mark II, very often with a wide angle lens attached, and an array of useful filters.

I often like to use rich, eye-catching colors and contrasts in my photos, really striving to make the viewer wish he or she was alongside me when I shot the scene.

Why do you use iPrintfromHome.com?
Short answer: Because they are awesome. They offer incredible quality, reasonable prices, and a myriad of printing styles and products. I've yet to hand a print to someone and didn't receive a "Wow" in regards to the quality. Turnaround is lightning fast and their customer service is among the friendliest and most personable I've encountered, which are key components in having a satisfied client in myself and, more importantly, those interested in my photography.

NO MORE TALKING: Portraits by Max Collins

Join us for the opening night of "NO MORE TALKING", a solo show by local artist Max Collins.  The opening event is this Thursday from 6-9pm at iPrintfromHome.

As Max writes, "No More Talking is a body of work fundamentally focused on the social and behavioral effects of digital technology. It is responding to a developing trend of how our behavior is becoming altered as a result of our connection and dependency to the digital tools around us. There is a population interacting with computers to the point where individuals have been diagnosed with internet addiction after displaying traits usually found in cases of substance abuse. The portraits in this series represent the expression and physical state of one of these addicts portraying a stare of blank apathy and disconnection; present yet absent. I've noticed with the development of products like the ipad, children are interacting with this technology at an incredibly young age, so I want to start focusing on the root of this digital addict behavior which is what you see here on display."

VIDEO: DIY Photo Cards & Saying Thanks

In this video, Sara demonstrates how to make DIY Photo Cards.

As you know, Mother's Day, Father's Day and graduation season are just around the corner. This year, instead of sending a generic greeting card with a message penned by some unknown copywriter, take the time to create something personal, beautiful and showcase your work while you're at it.

We make cards like those featured in the video all year round. Because we're making them ourselves, we can make as few or as many as we need, and choose the perfect image for each occasion. Check out the video and give it a try. We think you'll be happy with the results.

Not only will you have a high quality photo greeting card to send out to friends and family, but you'll also be featuring your own imagery. One of the simplest things you can do to advance your artistic career is to start sending your work into the world. Let people see the images that you've created. Once you do, you'll be surprised by how quickly you'll start hearing from people who want to see more.
