What, How & Why: A Closer Look - Featuring Christina Power

At iPrintfromHome.com, we work with artists and photographers from across the United States and Canada. We're inspired everyday by the images that they send to us and by the stories they share.
In our "What, How & Why" interview series, we take a closer look at some of these fascinating people.

We've asked each participating artist or photographer three simple questions:

1. What do you do?

2. How do you do it?
3. Why do you use iPrintfromHome.com?

Please read on to find out more about Christina Power.

What do you do?
I am always exploring new ways to be creative, but my underlying passion has always been hand lettering. I
create one of a kind, commissioned calligraphy pieces (usually for romantic wedding or anniversary gifts) as well as more general hand-lettered originals and prints.

How do you do it?
My current collection (titled "sing through the storm") starts with colorful, textural layers made using a variety of found objects and watercolor paints. Once I'm satisfied with the abstract backgrounds, I'll carefully add hand-lettered quotations, phrases, or words over the colors. Sometimes I'll add a whimsical sketch as well.

Why do you use iPrintfromHome.com?
In this world of anonymous online big business, iPrintfromHome offers a remarkably personal shopping experience. Their attention to detail and care for their customers truly stands out. The quality of their products is peerless. And, their service (both in producing and shipping products, as well as in responding to emails) is quick. Plus, I can drop ship prints directly to my customers, eliminating wasted time and extra shipping expenses. What's not to love?
