You've still got time!

It's getting close to Christmas and we are getting lots of calls asking if it's too late to order prints in time to give as gifts. The answer is, you still have time!

This time of year, we strongly recommend choosing one of the FedEx shipping options. Most of you choose USPS 1st Class, USPS Priority or Free Shipping when you order at iPrintfromHome.com. Although the post office is generally very fast, please note that these are not guaranteed shipping options. If you definitely need your order before Christmas, you might consider choosing one of the guaranteed FedEx shipping options when you place your order.

At iPrintfromHome.com, our standard turnaround time for Photographic Prints is as follows: if you place your order by 6am EST, we have it ready for shipping the same day, Monday through Saturday. Any order that comes in on Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

The turnaround time for Giclee Fine Art Prints is 3 business days (weekdays), and that the daily production cut-off is 6am EST.

Please note that requesting foam and ultra mounting (or stretching) services can add up to 3 business days to your turnaround time. Plak mounting can add up to 7 business days to your turnaround time.

If you're planning on ordering before the 22nd - which we would encourage (hint, hint) - please feel free to choose whichever shipping method meets your needs:

* USPS 1st Class - $3.95 (not recommended)
* USPS Priority - $7.95 (not recommended)
* FedEx Ground - $11.95
* FedEx Ground to Canada - $18
* FedEx 3-Day - $11.95
* FedEx 2-Day - $14.95
* FedEx Standard Overnight - $25.95
* FedEx Priority Overnight - $31.95
* FedEx Priority Saturday - $49.95

For more specific information about each shipping method, please click here.

Here's what you need to do if you're really waiting until the last minute:
If you order Photographic Prints: Please place your order by 6am on December 22nd and choose FedEx Standard Overnight or FedEx Priority Overnight so that you receive your order on December 24th. NOTE: Requesting foam and ultra mounting and/or stretching service will add 3 days to your turnaround time. Plak mounting will add 7 days to your turnaround time.

If you order photographic prints mounted to foam or ultra mount: Please place your order by 6am on December 19th and choose FedEx Standard Overnight or FedEx Priority Overnight so that you receive your order on December 24th.

If you order plak mounted photographic prints: Please place your order by 6am on December 15th and choose FedEx Standard Overnight or FedEx Priority Overnight so that you receive your order on December 24th.

What do you do?
I paint cute animals doing very human things. I love to capture the whimsy and wonder of being a kid and my goal is to transport my viewer back into a happy idealized childhood where animals dress up like superheroes and share ice cream cones. I love when I make somebody smile because of my work or even better I love making them laugh!

How do you do it?
My process depends on the surface I start with. If I am working on paper I use a mix of watercolor, colored pencil and ink. If I work on wood I use acrylics.

Why do you use iPrintfromHome.com?
I use iPrintfromHome.com because of the quality of the prints. I am very fussy when it comes to reproductions of my work-I want the quality to be as close to the original as possible. Everything that I have had printed with iPrintfromHome.com has been stellar and on top of that surprisingly affordable!

What do you do?
I paint still life, animals, and landscapes. I've been painting in oils for about 12 years and just recently I've been working with watercolor again.

How do you do it?
My work is on stretched canvas in a variety of sizes. Creating prints is a wonderful way to expand on what I do and offer more of it to more people

Why do you use iPrintfromHome.com?
I love iPrintfromHome for so many reasons. When Giclee printing first came out I tried it with my own printer. I had the right printer, ink and paper, but it was so costly and one customer was upset that I had used my own printer to product her order. I decided then that I would only use professionals from that point on. I'm in the process of creating a new website that will have an expansive prints page and all of the prints will be produced by iPrintFromHome. I'm excited for the coming year.

What, How & Why: A Closer Look - Featuring Ann Oh

At iPrintfromHome.com, we work with artists and photographers from across the United States and Canada. We're inspired everyday by the images that they send to us and by the stories they share.

Please read on to find out more about Ann Oh.

Ann Oh
Artist
St. Cloud, MN

What do you do?
I'm an artist currently trying to explore the boundaries of makeup as a fine art medium. I strongly believe that makeup is an art form and invest a lot of my time creating intricate makeup looks where I turn myself into paintings, sculptures, or create original looks based on ideas heavily influenced by art. I hope to someday see makeup looks displayed prominently in art galleries and taught as part of art courses. I also post videos of me creating my looks on Youtube, so other people can also learn from my process. It's been a very rewarding experience thus far.

How do you do it?
I typically start by painting my entire face white to mimic the color of a canvas. Then, using eyeshadows, face paints, mixing mediums, and other makeup products, I carefully add in color and texture until I am satisfied with the outcome. This process can take up to 6 hours. I spend another hour taking pictures, which I then upload to my computer to edit. I typically adjust the contrast, lighten or darken certain areas of the photo, and also add artistic effects to further enhance the look, such as adding light particles over the hair to look like little fireflies or snow. Then it's ready to be printed!

Why do you use iPrintfromHome.com?

Having prints of my work to sell has always been a goal of mine, but unfortunately I lacked the money to create my own. A local artist recommended I use iPrintfromHome.com. Tentatively, I ordered my first batch, unsure of what to expect - but was blown away by the quality of each print and the fast shipping. I've used it as my main printing service ever since. I recommend this website to any artist looking for high-quality prints of their work.

What do you do?
I'm a digital collage artist, photographer, and collector of photographs from the 19th century. The main focus of my work is creating surreal, digital collages using the people in the photos that I collect. I call it The Forgotten Lives Project (#TheForgottenLivesProject).

How do you do it?
For posterity and out of respect for the physical photographs, I never alter them. I create a high-resolution scan and painstakingly retouch each digital image to remove scratches, stains, and fading. I cut out the backgrounds of the portraits and combine them with objects and elements that I've photographed and digitally cut out. I piece them together to create mini, surreal worlds that I hope take the viewer to another place and time.

Why do you use iPrintfromHome.com?
The quality of their giclée prints are amazing. It can be hard to find a place that is consistent, has great customer service, great prices, and great quality prints. iPrintfromHome.com offers all of those things and I'm never let down.

iPrintfromHome.com in the News

“Few industries have seen such sweeping disruption in the digital age as photography, whether it's Kodak film reaching near obsolescence or cameras being replaced by iPhones. But the Campos Group is one photo-based business that has successfully made the transition.

The Campos recently talked to The Buffalo News about how one simple change boosted sales, why they take same-day orders as late as 6 a.m. and what you should be doing with your photos that you probably aren't.”

Rachel Bingaman
Painter

What do you do?
I create heavily textured contemporary landscape paintings using professional grade oil paints and gallery wrapped, deep profile canvas.

How do you do it?
My paintings are vibrantly colored and sculpted with impasto. My original oil paintings can be found in Laguna Beach's Pacific Gallery; have been featured on an NBC TV series; and appear in "The Custom Art Collection" which is a book of prints from top artists. My works are also internationally collected and can be found in private collections all over the world. In my paintings, I seek to merge modern minimalism with vibrantly textured dreamscapes. I aim to express nature's beauty with exaggerated intensity.

Why do you use iPrintfromHome.com?
I use iPrintfromHome.com for a variety of reasons! The quality of the prints exceeds any other company I've tried in the past. The team at iPrintfromHome.com is able to effortlessly capture the thick layers of texture from my original paintings. Also, the vibrant colors I work in are transferred perfectly onto each print. The customer service is consistently exceptional and I love that they drop ship to my clients for me. iPrintfromHome.com has allowed me to expand my business beyond original art.

What, How & Why: A Closer Look - Featuring Kailey Lang

Kailey Lang
Illustrator
Oakville, ON Canada

What do you do?
I am a Canadian illustrator, primarily working in traditional media to create paintings. Being inspired by nature, my work involves flora and fauna, occasionally with a hint of fantasy or macabre. I try to use colour,
composition and atmosphere in my pieces to create a feeling of "odd quiet" or "calm" (but I'll leave it up to you to decide whether I'm actually successful at it!). I also do some hand-carved printing work on fabric or paper, and sewing, but certainly painting and illustration were the genesis of those interests!

How do you do it?
I start with several small thumbnails sketches, until I think I have the general idea and composition I want. Then I work on a larger rough sketch, and transfer the final line drawing to the watercolour paper to prepare to paint! Occasionally I work with watercolour or acrylic paint, but my main loves as far as materials go, are Acryla-gouache and 300lb Hotpress watercolour paper.

Why do you use iPrintfromHome.com?
Being that I work on watercolour paper, (which is similar in texture to the Somerset velvet paper), I was so set on offering archival prints with that lovely texture that brings out the quality of the original painting. I tried several local printers who offered giclee, all of whom I was not very impressed with. I was referred to iprintfromhome.com by another seller on the Etsy forums, so I gave them a try. I found that both the quality and price of the prints from iprintfromhome.com were far superior to that of the local printers. In addition, any time I have had any questions regarding my orders, or a new order, I have always found Sarah to be incredibly hospitable, professional and speedy in her replies. I could not be happier with the service, and customers are always happy with the quality of the prints!
